The Sonship...
I was sharing with a multitude of youth in a youth service and one of the scriptures that I found and intriguing and just brings you to a life ever flowing with Joy is Romans 8:14 - 17... It gives me such an assurance that am God's own beloved son like Jesus is to Him!
Romans 8:13 - 17...
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are Children, then we are heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Very encouraging & empowering verses. I couldn't possibly tell you a favourite verse/s of mine - God keeps giving me new ones! hehe! My most latest fav is "He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth - the LORD God Almighty is his name". Amos 4:13 as I read Amos the other day. Amos is quite an inspiring man and the book is quite encouraging despite the doom messages, for there is hope and the character of God is portrayed.
